EMERALD es un ensayo clínico en fase inicial de una terapia celular innovadora para pacientes con enfermedad hepática terminal, que se lleva a cabo en el Reino Unido y España. La terapia objeto de estudio, denominada Terapia Regenerativa con Macrófagos, está diseñada para ayudar a recuperarse incluso a hígados gravemente dañados, evitando así que la enfermedad siga progresando.
EMERALD is an early-stage clinical trial of an innovative cell therapy for patients with end-stage liver disease, taking place in the UK and Spain. The therapy being tested, called Regenerative Macrophage Therapy, is designed to help even badly damaged livers recover, thus preventing disease from progressing further.
